It's here! The Folks of Amsterdam's limited-edition bookazine is an independent digital platform that celebrates the creative entrepreneurship of Amsterdam's people. The printed bookazine features a collection of the best stories designed to inspire.

The Folks of Amsterdam is an independent digital platform featuring stories of adventurous creatives in Amsterdam. The platform was founded in 2016 and is run by a small, hardworking team of four creatives, all living and working in Amsterdam. We've decided to wrap up after almost four years, three sold-out events, dozens of published stories, and over 55,000 clicks per interview (average).

To celebrate the success and keep readers inspired, I created a limited edition table book (164 pages) featuring the failures and glory of, amongst others, textile designer Mae Engelgeer, Coverjunkie Jaap Biemans, Dawn's sustainable strategist David Snellenberg, and artist and actor Job Reuten.

The people that we interviewed had to be willing to talk openly about the darker chapters of their success. I was a bit hesitant at first about how far people would be willing to go in revealing both their failures and glories, but every candidate just went for it. And I’m so happy that they did.
