Designtree becomes Studio Dorien Franken
A new name, identity and branding moving forward

At the beginning of 2021, I consulted with Bert Hagendoorn, a brand positioning and strategy specialist. I wanted to see if my company, Designtree, still values everything I stand for. And I concluded that it didn’t.
Since launching The Folks of Amsterdam in 2017, I’ve seen the positive impact of being transparent and creating opportunities for people and brands that want to connect in an engaging but authentic way.
With 15+ years of experience guiding brands and working across the media landscape as a designer, consultant, and digital publisher, I’ve seen markets change. The demand for forward-thinking companies is growing, which creates enormous opportunities.
Moving forward, I’ve decided to focus solely on the growth of organizations that drive widespread positive change. This new direction asked for a name change, positioning, and website.
That’s why Designtree continues as Studio Dorien Franken, where I will help companies that dare to explore more.
